Receiving the invitation of National Yang Ming University (NYM), Taiwan, from 16th to 21st of July, 2018, the delegation of Hanoi University of Pharmacy headed by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh-Rector paid a working visit to universities, institutes, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies in Taiwan such as National Yang Ming University, Sinica Veterans Memorial Hospital, Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, Everest Pharmaceutical Company and Orient Pharmacy EuroPharma Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Pharm.Inc Vietnam visited Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

With the aim of enhancing human resources in the pharmaceutical sector and improve drug quality for Vietnam and other ASEAN countries, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) have been working for Strengthen cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand in the field of pharmacy in collaboration with the Hanoi University of Pharmacy and technical support from Chulalongkorn University Thailand.

In order to seek opportunities for collaboration in academics and scientific research with Hanoi University of Pharmacy, in the afternoon of 18th January 2017, the delegation from National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan leaded by Prof. Huang Chi-Ying, Professor and former chairman of Institute of Biopharmaceutical Sciences paid a working visit to Ha Noi University of Pharmacy.

On 22nd February 2018, a seminar on Separation Science for the
Prosperity Community in a Time of Brilliant Technologies was organized by Hanoi
University of Pharmacy with the participation of Professors from the HPLC
Association, Korea and Laos to exchange the application of HPLC in research and
development of Pharmacy.

In the morning of 24th November 2017, Hanoi University of Pharmacy in collaboration with Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Hanoi Medical University solemnly held Daewoong Scholarship Awarding Ceremony to 30 outstanding students of HUP and HMU in the academic year 2016-2017.

Following a working visit to HUP in April 2017 by the German International Cooperation Development Agency (GIZ), the Thai International Cooperation Development Agency (TICA) and Professors of Chulalongkorn University, from 21st to 23rd November 2017, a meeting between stakeholders of the project "Access to high quality herbal medicines in Vietnam" under Polifund project funded by TICA and GIZ was organized at HUP campus.

On November 21th 2017, as new Chief Executive Officer of Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Corp. (CKD), Mr. Lee Kisu together with some leaders of its company paid a working visit to Ha Noi University of Pharmacy to look for opportunities to expand cooperation with HUP.

Within the WHO - VIETNAM health cooperation program, biennium 2016 - 2017, a workshop on "Capacity building for community pharmacists to meet the needs of elderly patients at primary care by setting up a cooperation model between family medical doctor and community pharmacists” was organized by Hanoi University of Pharmacy on 13th and 14th of November 2017 at HUP campus.

A partnership between educational institutions and business groups is set to contribute to the development of continuous medical education for pharmacists in Vietnam.
At the sidelines of the APEC week in Da Nang, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on 9 November 2017 between Hanoi University of Pharmacy, University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City, RMIT University Vietnam, AmCham Healthcare Committee, European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam and Pharma Group Vietnam.
Through the MOU, the Parties will co-operate with a view to providing free, continuous medical training to pharmacy students, pharmacists, and pharmacy owners and staff in Vietnam through a mobile application (app). The app will be purely focused on further developing the knowledge and skills of pharmacists and therefore be free of charge, non-promotional and non-political. The app will be provide an innovative platform enabling pharmacists across the country to benefit from the training.
The MOU builds on the intent of the recent Vietnamese Pharmaceutical Law and the signing was witnessed by numerous representatives from the APEC community, demonstrating the international commitment to work together to improve healthcare and healthcare provision across the region.
