Survey results on working situation of Pharmacists graduating from Hanoi University of Pharmacy in 2012 and the University training quality.

To carry out the quality assurance plan for
the academic year 2013 - 2014, the Department of Testing & Quality Control
has collected the information from 490 pharmacists who graduated from full time
training system in 2012 (K 62 th) on the job status and feedback on the
education quality of Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
The survey involved 209 pharmacists. The results showed that the rate
of pharmacists who could find a job was 73,1% after 3 months of graduation and
98,6% after 1 year; the rest 1.4% ( 3 pharmacists) continued for further
studying to improve their professional level. Most of these pharmacists worked
in Hanoi (68,9%), the rest worked through in the northern provinces such as
Hung yen, Nam Dinh, Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc and in Ho Chi Minh City.
The pharmacists’ monthly income after one year of
graduation was various from 2 million to 20 millions VND/month. The average
monthly income of 7,5 millions VND/month was made by pharmacists
K62th; 27.3% of whom had income over 10 millions VND /month. According to the
survey, most of pharmacists felt satisfied with their income, 21,0% of
pharmacists felt that their current job was just a little satisfactory or
unsatisfactory.
Most of pharmacists (85,5%) participating in
the survey thought their job was consistent with specialized knowledge provided
in the university. Most of them have been working in the field of medical
marketing and sales (medical representative, 34.8%) and in the pharmaceutical
trading and distribution (14,9%), hospital pharmacy (11.4%). Those in
Pharmaceutical manufacturing sector accounted for 10.4% and in the other areas
occupied from 2.0 to 8.5%.
In general, the pharmacists graduating from Hanoi
University of Pharmacy in 2012 were satisfied with the provided training
program.
