Meeting with Yang-Ming National University, Taiwan

In the cooperation between
Hanoi University of Pharmacy (HUP) and Yang-Ming National University (NYMU),
Taiwan, in the morning of June 18th 2019, Prof. Dr. Jaw-Jou Kang - Rector of
the University of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Yang-Ming National University,
Taiwan, head of the delegation paid a working visit to Hanoi University of
Pharmacy.
Welcoming the delegation, for
the HUP side, there were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr.
Dinh Thi Thanh Hai - Vice Rector and the of International Relations Department,
Department of Science Management, Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Department
of Pharmaeconomics and Administration, Department of Pharmacognosy and
Department of Botany. At the meeting, the two parties discussed and approved of some topics of mutual interest such as:
(i) The training program of dual doctoral degree, the two parties agreed to
study the training system of each countries and related regulations, match
programs and consider the possibility to implement the programs; (ii) Promoting
the exchange of lecturers and students: For more than a year, Yang Ming
National many short-term scholarships for HUP
lecturers and students. Hanoi University of Pharmacy expects that the two
universities will enhance the effectiveness of this program in the coming
period, particularly increasing summer exchange programs for students of the two universities; increasing summer exchange programs HUP students' participation in short-term
training programs and short-term studies at Yang Ming National University;
strengthening HUP lecturers’ attendance in short-term training courses in
professional practice & quality assurance organizations; (iii) fostering scientific research between the two
universities, especially in the fields of policy research, experimental
pharmacology in drug development from plants and food safety. The meeting ended at 12 o'clock the same day with the promise of many new cooperation opportunities.
