Newton Programme Vietnam is now offering three opportunities dedicated to research individuals and institutions. (12/09/2016)

Newton Fund grants managed by British Council in Vietnam and Newton Fund grants managed by British Embassy in Hanoi​. Details as follows:

 Newton Fund grants managed by British Council in Vietnam

1.     Newton Researcher Links Travel grants: provide financial support for Vietnam based early-career researchers to undertake an international research placement in three months in the UK to strengthen links for future collaboration, build research capacity in developing economies, and enhance the researcher's career opportunities.

·  ​   Deadline: 16.00 (UK time) on 19 September 20162.     

       2.    Newton Institutional Links grants: provide financial support for Vietnam and UK institutions to establish links beyond the level of the individual researcher and innovation practitioner, opening up opportunities for more sustainable, solution-oriented collaborations between academic groups as well as with the private and third sector (e.g. SMEs, NGOs, technology transfer offices and other not-for-profit organizations). 

      Size of grant: £75,000 - £150,000 for 18 - 24 months

      Deadline: 16.00 (UK time) on 19 September 2016 1600 UK time

       Newton Fund grants managed by British Embassy in Hanoi

       3.     British Academy Newton Mobility Grantsprovide support for international researchers based in a country covered by the Newton Fund to establish and develop collaboration with UK researchers around a specific jointly defined research project. 

   Grants for South Africa, Turkey, and Vietnam are offered up to a maximum of £10,000 for one year.
