COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course, which emphasizes the role of pharmacists in
hospital AMS programme, seeks to foster the development of a strong
knowledgebase in pharmacy training to successfully implement an antimicrobial
stewardship program that will improve patient care, reduce healthcare expenditures
and potentially reduce rates of resistance and prolong the longevity of the
limited number of antimicrobial agents available to treat infections.
The course is designed to
provide the basic knowledge about the principles of hospital AMS for clinical
pharmacists and other hospital pharmacists to be able to take on the role of
pharmacist in the Hospital AMS program according to decision 5631 QD/BYT dated
December 31, 2020 on the Document "Guidelines for the implementation of Antimicrobial
Stewardship in hospitals".
